NOTE: This last file is actually music for the Gittern and not the Renaissance Guitar, however it is tuned and played the same way (and this file was a hassle to find) so I figured I would share it here. I am not sure if I am going to transcribe it yet as it was published around a century after everything else here and is for a different instrument, but it is at the end of the list so I will decide when I get to it.
This last one is all that remains of this book, which from my understanding was an instructional book on how to play the renaissance guitar. I’m probably not going to transcribe it because of how incomplete it is, but I may once I’ve transcribed everything else and if I get bored.
Missing Works
This is all of the (published and extant) music for 4 course guitar that I am aware of. If there is anything that I have missed that you would like to see up here please let me know and we can sort out having a scan of the original facsimile up here.
Notes on Copyright
I have done my research and as far as I am aware, scans of works that are out of copyright are not protected under copyright. This is because they are (at least trying to be) exact replicas of the work that is out of copyright and because there is no originality added there is no copyright protection for the scans.
